My TH-X00 PH pairs very well with the DFR, it's what I use for listening while working. If you get the Lawton Audio Tune-up kit and apply only the driver frame dampening (not any of the cup dampening) it gets even better... you can hear a much cleaner, detailed sound with excellent instrument separation. The improvements comes across extremely well on the DFR.
