I listen to K-7XX for details, sound stage, seperations, and big band; while the TH-X00 is for juicy bass, fun, and engaging sound.

Maybe someday I'll be the kind of guy who changes cans based on sound, but I suspect that one of these will be more listened to than the other. I think I'll keep the K7XX for gaming, especially if anyone ever makes a good wireless mixamp.

Here's how it progressed for me. Had the K7XX, got these, sold the K7XX a few weeks later. I grew apart from them. The K7XX compliment the X00 very well but the K7XX sound anemic in comparison, especially in the low-end. And I'm someone who had genuinely been enjoying the K7XX's presentation. IMHO, these are worth the wait.

Just wondering what Amp were you running the K7XX off of? When you described it as anemic sounding it felt like how it sounds when you run it directly off of a Iphone or Galaxy.

m9XX. Apologies for not including that earlier. On their own, the K7XX aren't anemic (I really liked them) but relative to the X00, absolutely...to me. It's really nothing against the K7XX, my relationship with them simply changed. ;)

Ah, was just wondering. I do understand though since my go to headphone was the HD650 till I got the K7XX. Will probably sell the K7XX once I get the X00 in since I never bother switching around cans when I listen.
