Be careful with these - they're my favorite headphones by far, certainly for the price, but they're much more fragile than they appear for $400 headphones, or at least some of them are. Get home, put these cans on my ear, the left ear can breaks off from the rest of the headband - the metal piece surrounding the silver metal spheres that connect the cans to the headband cracked, looks almost like a clean cut through metal. Cans were less than a year old. Massdrop claims a 2-year warranty, but does not reply to any forms of contact after 3 weeks now. Breaks my heart.

TimebombYup, it's the most common thing to break in any of the Fostex TH/Denon AH-D lines. The D2000s have a plastic connector and mine broke after 3-4 years of usage, but I did trash them around a lot. Though nothing some super glue couldn't fix. :D

TimebombAll the metal on this headphone is mentioned as being magnesium. This is a very light, but soft and brittle metal. Hopefully MD can warranty you quickly!
