Sigh... y'know, when this was re-released with detachable cables, I was kinda annoyed but willing to just ignore it because I already had the headphones and they sounded just great, detachable cables or no. But now that this "1K Club" promotion has come along, I'm kinda cheesed off. I already felt like I was kinda punished for being an early adopter, but now you can get it with detachable cables AND it's $100 cheaper than the price I paid for NON-detachable cables!?

AnzialJust felt obliged to come back to this thread to say... you know damn well I went ahead and got the removable cable ver. while it was $100 off, I have no self control *sobs* Maybe I'll flip my original pair some point in the nearish future.
Although... noticing now that the price has gone back up to the original price of $470, I wonder if they are changing their mind about EOLing the TR-X00 series after all? Hmmm
