I ordered this product in February. I still have not gotten and Massdrop will not respond to my contact inquiries. Buy from Massdrop beware... I mean come on.... five months... This is getting ridiculous.

mlivesayThe ship date was stated when this drop was active as June 2. There's been 1 delay, and massdrop was pretty up front about it. Danny has been relaying info as fast as he can. Massdrop isn't like Amazon or online stores where your item is shipped right away. The ship date is always stated, and frequently is a bit if a wait after drop ends. I too ordered early in drop and saw 2 June ship date. Yes I want my pad weeks ago, but I realize what massdrop is and isn't. The pads hadn't been manufactured yet when we ordered. 1st time limit has made this pad or valve. So.....live with that or go elsewhere.

VajtagalYea, Vajtagal, that is not correct... In case you have trouble with dates... June 2nd has come and gone... .June 30 was the next date they said, and not by email notice, I had to get off the site... That date has also come and gone. Then we were told now another small delay. Now I just got an email yesterday that says July 18th. So if you are going to be critical of a 100% factual post to warn other buyers, be sure you got your facts straight. The FTC now requires them to contact everyone... Yea, that's the way to run a company.... I will not use Massdrop again and I will do my best to influence others to do the same.

mlivesayIf you opt-in over the weekend (which it looks like most people have already done), then the pads will ship out next week. It's not that the FTC requires us to contact every one - we would do that anyways - it's that they require us to have you confirm the purchase, rather than assume you still want it. I know this is not ideal, so we are very grateful for your patience and understanding.
Up until last week, we thought we would be able to ship by June 30. Then the volcano erupted over the Aleutian islands in Alaska, stopping or delaying traffic from Asia to the US. Our shipment got bumped back by two days, just enough to put us over the FTC limit.
The good news is that the pads are in the air now and will be delivered to Klymit's HQ in Utah over the weekend. Then they'll be tested for QC and then shipped right to your home as fast as possible. Klymit has scheduled staff to handle this shipment right away for all the members who opt in over the weekend.
Either way, we are really sorry and we have tried our best to communicate the challenges. We have given everyone a significant credit for these delays. I've been right here in the discussion the whole time available for you to ask, share, vent, whatever. And we're shipping as soon as we can. I really hope you're able to see that this is one production run, and the first one that I've been a part of that has had any delay. That means that there are literally tens of thousands of on-time or early deliveries for Massdrop products in the Outdoor/Ultralight Community.

mlivesayFine go away as you don't get how massdrop works. And if you want to spread misinformation that is up to you. I never said the original stated ship date of 2 June hadn't passed. What I said was Danny and massdrop let us know up front, gave us options, 1 of which was a full refund. He also gave a revised ship date of 30 June. The only reason that don't happen was volcanic activity screwing up ALL flights in that area. Commercial, passenger , everything. As a passenger, I like that airlines cant fly due to severe or dangerous weather. Being late to my destination is far better than crashing and being Seriously injured or dead. Appears you prefer convenience. They are on their way now, it's the 1st so 2nd delay was very minor. And Danny and massdrop kept us informed and once again offered options. Sure it's not ideal. Yes, I'd love to have gotten my pad months ago. But when I was determining to place my order I took 2 June into consideration. Like I and others have stated, massdrop is a COMMUNITY, not a giant store. The community gets to put things they'd like to see offered. If enough other community members say yeah I'd go in on that, massdrop contacts the vendor, maker, etc and says hey what kind of discount deal can we get for a minimum of x units? If massdrop secured a good price the item is active. With ship date stated. I'm bummed it took so long, but happy with how Danny and massdrop handled it. If I want something NOW there is no shortage of places I can go nowadays. However, this pad, like a lot of drops, is a massdrop exclusive. M.D. and Klymit collaborated on a pad found nowhere else. So I'll work on my patience and wait. To quote Alton Brown -"your patience will be rewarded."
