There seemed to be some trouble assembling it, but it turned out most of that was avoidable. When you would line up some of the holes, they would be severely off, then you would rotate a piece 180 degrees and it was only slightly off. What was strange was that both sides were off by the same amount. Turns out that was by design and was for added reinforcement. The directions didn't really clearly state any of that. Once you understand it, it makes it easier. All i had to do was just get the bolt started, not tighten, then go to the next step and after getting everything initially threaded, go back and start tightening everything, it made it easy.
My desk was pretty badly chipped, but I turned it to be the back side, so you can't see it. I didn't want to go through the trouble of remounting anything.
The motor seems to stutter quite a bit when going up. You have to hold it, then it pauses, and you have to do it again. It makes me a little nervous that the motor isn't strong enough. I had a powered standing desk at work and this doesn't come close to that quality. I'm sure the price on my work one was well above $2k, so take that with a grain of salt.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the desk, but I'm keeping it in standing position.
