delnerdoEh. Meh runs the same deal periodically, and it tends to be pretty well received. So long as you aren't going in assuming you're going to get something relevant to you or useful then it shouldn't be an issue. From my view point this is the same as a bluebox, but with a wide pool of items/upgrades. It's basically the lottery, if you don't have 100-250 in play money then obviously don't go for it, but if you do then hey it's a bunch of lottery tickets that you're guaranteed a small win on. If you're lucky you end up with relevant gear for you, if you're slightly less lucky you end up with gear for someone you know, if luck-neutral you may end up with items that have resale value.
My biggest concern would be with apparel; if I'm shelling out 250 I don't want a box that on their published percentages could be 40% wrong sizes. Hoping they stick to stuff that isn't size dependent in those categories like wallets and key rings in mens accessories instead of belts or shoes.
