My O2 appears to be the culprit of nasty popping/static noises when using two different headsets, the k7xx and fostex th-x00's.
I've tried different USB ports on the same PC. I've tried different headphones on the same Amp. I've tried different power outlets. I've tried different computers with different headphones.
All point to the O2 causing this really nasty popping/static noise. Does anyone else get the same issue?

I submitted a request for assistance to Massdrop and I've gotten a response
" Thank you for contacting Massdrop Support. It looks like the timeframe for the reporting period has passed and we are unable to provide further assistance. We thank you for your understanding of this policy and apologize for any inconvenience. "

But the page for this item has a two year warranty listed? WTF?
EDIT: Massdrop did indeed end up replacing my O2.

Have you looked into that this might be USB-noise? Try something like a USB-filter, it may be your motherboard that is the culprit.. I'd recommend Jitterbug, but it's a tad expensive for just problemsolving..

I've gotten popping from mine but never static. The popping comes from the switching on the power line management circuit. If your batteries get low or are not charging equally you can run into this. I'd double check to make sure you're getting a good connection on the AC input.
