Does this work with batteries?
If so, how exactly? I don't see any switch for battery power.
Yes, two 9v batteries. I'd imagine the on/off is based on turning the volume button.
It will run on battery when turned on and not plugged in automatically . http://nwavguy.blogspot.com/2011/08/o2-summary.html
Check out the link...this is the guy that designed it. Pretty interesting story. It is ONLY supposed to run on nimh 9v batteries. With the batteries in you don't have to do anything. It slow charges when plugged in even when the unit is off.
Do you mean that any other 9v battery apart from the nicad isnt appropriate for O2 amp? Or isnt that the case?
And in addition to this if i do get the 9v rechargable batteries should i get a battery charger too or isnt that neccesary?
Where does it say that the batteries need to be nicad?
I can't find any info on this.
Sorry it is supposed to be Nimh 9v. It is designed to charge them internally and does it automatically when plugged in. It does this even when the unit is switched off. Massdrop should be making this more clear so people done blow up batteries inside their units.
Looks like you are pretty sure about that...thanks for the usefull info there..
Seems that i ll start looking up for those batteries then...
It's a specific battery that the designer used as far as type and voltage. The unit charges the batteries automatically. That is the main reason you need the right batteries. Again they are Nimh batteries NOT nicads
Hi, do Li-Po 9v batteries work with this unit?
Ok..just found those here in athens,greece...thanks again...
