Please advise do I really need this Amp? I have AKG 712 Pro and additionally Sennheiser HD 6XX is on the way.
Currently I can drive AKG 712 Pro directly from my laptop at 70% volume, and also they sound not bad from Samsung S5 phone (and I am confused how I can drive them from laptop or phone if everybody says online that this AKG are very heavily driven and really powerful Amp required). So are they really under-driven to some extend, but because of lack of experience I do not realize that? And shall adding of the Amp allow to feel something extra from what I have now?

The JDS labs amp works great from my pc to my amp also i use it from my smartphone and the JDS labs has rechargeable batteries inside it so it works great for that as well. Yeah my dac has better sound than just coming off my motherboard my motherboard has creative sound out of a asrock fatality board and the dac is better by a good margin. A combo like this is good if it works but i bought the desktop version earlier in the year and the quarter inch headphone jack had a thumping sound that made me return it. I think the 3.5mm headphone jack version should be fine since it hasnt been modded by massdrop. But i think when they upgrade to the larger headphone jack something went wrong. But lots of others say they had no problem i was just unlucky i guess.
