I noticed that the RCA input version has the RCA jacks placed right next to the power supply input jack on the rear panel. My original O2 takes *AC* voltage (up to 19V AC). If this Massdrop RCA version does too, that means they put the line level RCA input jacks right next to the high-current AC power supply feed. That's just plain bad layout. That will invite AC noise (hum) entering the audio signal at the RCA input jacks.
Does this Massdrop O2 amp also take AC voltage at its power supply input jack? Or have they modified it to take DC there?

It still takes AC, they couldn't modify it to take DC (which would require a pretty radical redesign) and still call it an O2.
Does this present a real world problem with noise, I don't know sorry :)

Just tested mine to see if it had hiss. I can only hear it on high gain with the volume knob at like 2-3'o'clock. Using Sony MDR-Z7's. DAC is a Schiit Modi v2.
Does it have hiss? Yes. Does it effect your normal listening experience? Unless you are listening to some really LOUD music, no.
