Hello,
I've just recived my O2 "Model/AC Adapter/Gain Option: Desktop Edition - 220 V - Medium Gain (1.0x Low, 3.3x High)".

so the sticker is.... wrong? I ordered another adapter to fit the requirements (I live in Switzerland, just across the border)

Yes, the sticker is not conform to the output i mesured. I spent the night listenning the o2 connected to a M2tech Dac and a DT770 80ohm. Perfect for my ears !

It's not wrong - it's unregulated power adapter. There's a real chance that it will drop below 14V in some cases though.

My headphones are easy to drive (<80 Ohms) for the O2 so i'll stay with the Massdrop power supply. Maybe it's a good idea to update with more demanding headphones.

You are measuring the voltage without load and its quite normal to have the voltage a bit above the spec, it should drop a bit when loaded. I have an O2 that was not bought through massdrop and I got a 15VAC power supply with it, measuring the no-load output I get 17.4v. According the the original nwavguy blog anything over 13.5v is fine so 12v would actually be too low. The O2 has its own internal AC to DC conversion and power supply regulation, a few extra volts at the input should not make any difference.

I don't have measurement tools to follow voltage under load. Is there a chance that the power supply drops under the 13,5v required ? My long listening sessions doesn't show troubles. Thanks for your expertise.

I doubt that it would drop that low, you should be fine.

The power supply that NwAvGuy listed originally(Triad Magnetics WAU12-200) outputs 13.35VAC(no load) so you should be just fine as long as you're not driving low impedance headphone at high levels. So enjoy your O2 ;-)
"...If the amp is driving a low impedance load at high current levels, you need at least 12 VAC loaded (200 ma or about a 60 ohm 5 watt resistor if you want to test a transformer). This doesn’t leave much room for using a 12 VAC transformer if the line voltage is low (below about 117 VAC) hence the primary 14 – 20 VAC recommendation..."-NwAvGuy (O2 Details > Circuit Description (geek stuff) > AC WALL TRANSFORMER)

The O2 is my first purchase on Massdrop, I’m waiting for a pair of TFZ Exclusive 5 I ordered. I think I will continue to monitor good deals on Massdrop !!! I really enjoy discussing with the community with my ugly frenglish ;-) Thanks for your advice!
