Guys think this would match well with my PXC 550's? I have been looking for a good amp and decided to look towards the best audiophile community in Massdrop

joshmrt10No, not at all. You don't need an amp for those, they're really low impedance - and you won't be able to use an amp in Bluetooth mode at all.

simon--pooleI understand not using them in bluetooth mode with the amp. I wouldve used a wire to connect them. Also, it states the impedance is around 490 ohms when active? Think you can dumb it down if I'm misunderstanding

joshmrt10490 Ohms (Active) is referring to Bluetooth mode, Passive = with a wire.
joshmrt10You will get no benefit from an amp... these do not have a fully passive mode. From innerfidelity's review:
"This headphone has no wired mode without the electronics on so there may be some electronic tuning going on here" Read more at https://www.innerfidelity.com/content/sennheiser-noise-canceling-headphones-pxc-550-wireless-hd-45-btnc-hd1-wireless-and-hd1-ear#5zyuSBulVyapkSh5.99
