Question. I'm picking up the Desktop version. I use the Scarlett 2i4 with my mic, Yamaha monitors, and guitar from time to time.. The 2i4 is only powered by usb so the headphone power capabilities of the 2i4 are lacking when using higher resistant cans. Now finally comes the question. Would I just run one of the stereo RCA outputs into the O2's stereo RCA in's and plug in my headphones to the O2 (obviously)? The DAC capabilities of the Scarlett 2i4 are efficient enough for me as a DAC at 16bit/96kHZ so I really don't need an upgrade in that area. Thanks for anyone that verifies my question.
One more. Should I grab the Desktop version of the O2 or the Schiit Audio Magni 2 for $4 more? I'm sure there are plenty of you out there with both or have at least sampled both and I know that audio is one of those very personal things so I'm just looking for a generalization. For 4 bucks more I really do like Schiit's enclosure a whole lot better and I've compared specs between the two and they are very, very close to each other.
