Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

you need to contact your manufacturer!! They have possibly glued the two philips screw bolt on the left side of the face plate and just can't get it out.
I tried to open the front cover to place the two batteries. Two screws on the right side came off nice and easy... but the two on the left just won't come off. not only that, I tried to un screw it and it is so hard now the head of the screws is all stripped off.
I am so upset. I tried to un screw the back plate and all four screws come off nice and easy.
I now am stuck with the two stripped screws on the front!!
I don't think I am the only one with this problem. I have read other user posting the exact same issue.
That certainly shouldn't be the case. The case is held together by the screws only. The problem you are seeing definitely isn't normal, you should open a support ticket via the support page.
Same here. Screw (one in my case) would not come off, and the head is stripped off after my multiple attempts.
And this is especially annoying as Massdrop reps (Will?) have been dismissing the problem. Get someone who "open jars at home" to do it? Come on.
And do I want to do a RMA for this one? No. I had already done a RMA with them, with them screwing things up and ship the replacement to my old address.
