I have a Titanium HD which has a good DAC but no headphone amp, it's got a powered headphone jack instead. My AKG K7XX is more than loud enough with it and sounds good enough to me, but I've never used a proper headphone amp. Would I benefit from the o2 amp? I've heard somewhere that the high gain option on the o2 would make a noticeable difference because k7xx are supposed to be inefficient. Would appreciate the input.

If you're satisfied with the headphone jack from your Titanium HD card then don't buy anything else. However, if you find the sound lacking (not just volume but sound quality) and decide to go with an amp for your K7xx headphones, I would recommend using a line level source and consider an O2 with medium gain settings (1x/3.3x) instead of standard (2.5x/6.5x) as the K7xx shouldn't be difficult to drive with a 62 Ohm impedance.
