I want to stress that I love the SDAC/O2 Combo. I've had it plugged into just about every computer or phone I own at one point or another, and I've run it through my Aune X7s over the DACs in the X1s, the SMSL M6, the Shanling M0, the Fiio Q1 Mark II, and any of my onboard sound cards.
This DAC just sounds so musical to me. Like, I don't really know how to describe it. But Grace did a great job with this one. It's a great DAC at an amazing price point IMO. If the SDAC was SPDIF as well, it would decimate all, without overnighting parts from Japan (Fast reference).
I love the SDAC so much, now that the drop is back, I picked up a standalone SDAC and I jumped on the SDAC-Balanced drop as well, because SPDIF!
The O2 sounds great to my ears as well. It's form factor is really amazing though. I toss the whole unit in my laptop bag and I use it anytime I leave my apartment. I'd honestly recommend this as a great starter DAC/Amp over just about anything else, especially for the price. Just my $.02 FWIW. Also, YMMV.
