Product Description
After publishing the Objective 2 Headphone Amplifier design, NwAvGuy set out to make a DAC with objective quality to match. Processing up to 24bit/96khz files over USB Class 1 (no drivers required for Windows, Mac, or Linux), the ODAC has no audible jitter, meaning all your basic digital-to-analog bases are covered Read More
Just a heads up, a faulty driver gets installed for this when using it with Windows. This causes extremely slow windows startup/boot times when the ODAC is plugged in.
You can verify if you have this issue by going to Start -> Search for "Set up USB Game Controllers". If it takes more than 1 seconds to open (It would take 40+ seconds for me with the ODAC plugged in..!) then you should disable the driver.
You can do so by opening Device Manager and going to "Human Interface Devices" and finding the "USB Input Device" with the Hardware ID (under Details): USB\VID_262A&PID_1048&MI_00 [\possibly extra things here]
Then right click that USB Input Device and disable it. The ODAC will still work exactly the same as it did before, I'm not sure what this driver is use for, but I highly recommend doing this.
Please drop this..............I have ordered the objective 2 amp, and it simply does not feel complete, which is driving me crazy in some way............
