Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

As we near the 500 unit cap for this drop, I feel it's best to make a post and let everyone know something important.
On Saturday, we're releasing our O2+ODAC combo unit for $199.99 shipped in the United States.
I'm announcing this now so anyone who wants to can cancel their participation in this drop and wait for the drop on Saturday.
Best,
There'll probably be a couple of "I never received the email" regardless...
- ODAC original or RevB ? - who manufactured it ? (Yoyodyne, JDS, Mayflower ?) - what are the gains set at ? (JDS recommends gains set at 1.0/3.3x when the O2 is used with an ODAC RevB.)
Just cut some wires.
So you guys can easily get x2.5, x1
"The dual gain button allows you to select between low or high amplification. This configuration (1.0/3.3x) is optimal for all headphones when O2 is driven from a 2.10VRMS DAC, such as O2+ODAC RevB. Other gain configurations are only recommended for O2+ODAC if you need to drive the amplifier from a stronger or weaker audio source. If you're unsure which gain levels to choose, the default option is best."
