I’m kind’a disappointed that the other texture options didn’t survive. Was looking forward to mixing and matching. 😕

glennacWe also liked these other designs, but they were not very popular in the survey - definitely not popular enough to justify the larger diameter that made them almost 2x as heavy as this final version of the Path.

JonasHeinemanSo there is no way that any of the alternate patterns could be done with the current body? Perhaps shallower than originally planned? Frankly, knurled is kind of boring.
When the poll went out I didn't realize that the result would only be a single design. It was assumed that at least the top two designs would have been settled on so that styles could be mingled. Oh well, I've got plenty of knurled flashlights. Don't need another one. Too bad.

glennacThe other patterns look pretty meh when done with shallow machining. We didn't have any predetermined plan to go with only one design - knurling was overwhelmingly the favorite, and the other three were remarkably unpopular by a wide margin.

JonasHeinemanThe large diameter for the extra patterns may make it 2x as heavy, but I expect the extra diameter with just knurling for supporting 18650 use would only add a small amount of weight.
