I got to try out a sample for 30m while I was in the office yesterday and was sold. So comfy, nice and fitted, looked great. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Bought a Medium. It was too baggy. I’m 150 and 5’7” and like an athletic fit. MD was awesome with the exchange. They sent me a small immediately. Couldn’t be happier. DEFINITELY WORTH THE PRICE!! Don’t let other comments about “too expensive” influence your decision. However, not sure about the issues other folks are having. Sounds like there are definitely issues. Mine is perfect in every way. Maybe I got lucky. I’ve been wearing merino wool since Icebreaker first came out. Man has the tech come along way. This hoodie is THE best I’ve ever worn or felt. Congrats on an awesome collaboration. Have no intention of washing it much and when I do will do it by hand. Wouldn’t use it for rugged hiking or outdoors work; too nice (and expensive) to risk it getting snagged.

I really like the material: a jersey outer face and fleecy pile inner face. The weight would be on the light side for a poly/cotton hoodie, but in merino this weight is pretty warm. The fit seems true to size, i.e., similar to a traditional hoodie. Mine doesn't show any bagging or excess material. I haven't yet seen any issues with the stitching, but if and when I do, I own a needle. It's true that the price made me think twice, but (new) merino wool doesn't come cheap. A synthetic-merino blend might get the price down under $80. I'll happily wear this hoodie in the office and on cold mornings around the house; for backcountry use I'll continue to layer my $4 thrift-store merino sweaters under appropriate outerwear.

SagegrouchAfter two months of light duty use, no real signs of wear. I'm wearing it now. I wore it yesterday. I'd buy another. Suggestions:
  • Zippers on the pockets. OK, I know that's less hoodie and more jacket, but I also don't want things falling out of my pockets.
  • Merino-synthetic blend to reduce sticker shock.
  • A pullover hoodie version.
  • Colors? I'm partial to dark green, myself. Blue is nice too.

This is some of the softest merino I've worn. It's ridiculously comfy and fits great. I wear a medium in everything and the medium in this is perfect. I feel like the size chart is a bit weird though--the measurements make the hoodie look bigger on paper than a lot of other brands, but after asking in the discussion I just went with my normal size. It does have a slim fit, so if you have a beer belly you might want to size up (or hit the gym), but it's still loose enough to be comfortable. The hood is nice too--no cone head look, just a normal head-shaped hood.

This thing is a bit of a letdown. The materials are top notch and feel really nice, but it really balloons out in the midsection. Which is not consistent with the “slimmer fit” from the sizing description. So I guess I have a really nice hoodie for lounging around the house now... which is something.

Let me start by saying I love this hoodie but the grosgrain ribbon has frayed terribly and the stitching is falling apart . The material was top notch but it stopped there. Whom ever made these things had no idea how to produce the quality these hoodies deserved. I'm more upset that eventually I wont have this hoodie then I am by the fact that it was made like crap for the price that was charged. This could have easily been a long long long time favorite clothing pice. Massive Let Down Mass-drop.... Massive Let Down.

Nice material and cozy styling. At $38.95 I would have thought it was a good find at Target. Zipper feel cheap, and hood cords belong in a pair of shoes from the 90's. Hood is too small for my head which is unbelievable in a hoodie that feels at least a size larger than it should. Thumb holes are the most ridiculous afterthought and feel like they were added by someone who has never used thumbholes before. And to top it all off it is THIN, more like a summernight hoodie for those that were sad the winter delivery was botched, it will come as a relief. I am so dissappointed that I spent months waiting for it, not to mention the effing Pricetag.

Lets just say that charging 150 for a hoodie sets the bar higher than “doing their best” to provide a quality product. And yeah you should have been clearer. If you take the time to put down bad reviews of a product you like only on the basis that you like said product, then you need to at least not insult the reviewer.

The makers should be slighted, their best wasn't anywhere close to good enough to provide a quality product. The only good thing they did was select a quality material for the jacket, which they wasted on this absurd parody of a hoodie. For $150, I expect a product that fits as described and doesn't start immediately falling apart. Instead, I have a hoodie that is weirdly long, can't be consistently zipped up without a major struggle, and immediately began falling apart I've only worn it a handful of times because it looks so ridiculous with how poorly its cut and it's literally already falling apart. Whoever is responsible for this product should be slighted because they deserve it, there is no way this hoodie is even worth $50.

This thing is a disappointing waste of quality materials. It's almost perfect, except for a few ridiculous flaws which are just too egregious to look past. First, the cut of the jacket is very odd. The biggest issue is the length, I haven't measured it but I am confident it is significantly longer than the advertised measurement. It is by far the longest hoodie I've ever owned, it reaches down to my thighs. Compared to another hoodie I own with nearly identical advertised measurements I'd say it's 5 inches longer at least. Maybe they accidentally cut mine incorrectly because it looks almost absurdly long. Sleeve length is good, but the shoulders are tight and because of how the sleeves attach the tightness causes them to pop up a bit and look boxy and strange instead of laying flat like you would expect. The other big issue is the zipper is barely functional and requires a lot of attention to use. There is a flap of material behind the zipper that I suspect is at fault, the zipper continually gets stuck when using it, which is of course very annoying and frustrating to deal with every time you use it. I wanted to love this thing after waiting for so long but other than the nice wool it seems like this jacket was slapped together in a very strange way. If you have narrow shoulders combined with a freakishly long torso, and you don't ever zip it up, it's probably perfect for you. Otherwise, it's like wearing a hoodie that was designed to be a cruel practical joke. UPDATE: I deducted an additional star. This is definitely the worst purchase I've ever made from Massdrop, I feel like I was scammed. I've worn this stupid hoodie around the house a handful of times and it's already falling apart. The stitching is just ridiculously bad. It's never been washed, it's barely been worn, and yet here we are.

Not slim fit at all. My Large fits like an XL. For $150 I would expect top notch quality and fit. Also no returns or exchanges is just insane. Like others have said very long and I'm 6'2". Had to wait 5 months to be let down. Will never buy from Massdrop again.

Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with the cut of this hoodie. It was advertised as slim fit, but it is ridiculously large for a slim fit. I ordered the medium and it could easily be considered a large. On top of that, the cut at the shoulders is very poor quality, with all sorts of awkward large bumps. The material is very nice and I wish the cut was of similar quality... or even mediocre quality. I would have given 2 stars if it weren't so ridiculously expensive. At this price, I would have expected them to at least get the basics right.

AderethSeems like quality is all over the shop. I ordered medium as well and fits perfectly. I’m 5’8 175lb’s.
