Okay, I'm genuinely curious as to what makes this hoodie worth $150? Why should I be shelling out so much for something I may wear only a small part of the year?

BluJay614If you won't wear it much, you probably shouldn't.
Cost-wise, it it competitive with other well-made all-wool hoodies. Icebreaker charges >$200 for theirs.

BluJay614The cost comes from the wool and the labor of US manufacturing. This fabric is over $23/meter because it is a heavier weight 100% merino coming from Australia/New Zealand. The labor cost to produce in the US is also quite higher than overseas, where you’ll find the Minus33 and LL Bean merino hoodies are made. This hoodie is definitely build for those who like 100% merino product, want something with the functionality that wool provides, and values US manufacturing.
