Drop Pine Down Blanket

A down blanket that converts into a sleeping quilt, the Drop Pine boasts a softness and lightness that’ll make you feel like you’re resting on a cloud. The 20d 1.1oz downproof nylon matte shell is quiet and durable with an incredibly soft hand feel, and it’s packed with 10.5 ounces of 850-fill responsibly sourced hydrophobic down. Measuring 54 inches wide and 86 inches long when fully open, the Pine is larger than a twin XL bed. Turn it sideways and it’s wide enough for two when you’re sitting together on a couch, picnic bench, beach, or swing. Hidden stretchy cords, unnoticeable in blanket mode, and three pairs of snaps quickly turn the blanket into a sleeping quilt. The snaps are located at the footbox, about 24 inches up (around the knees), and at the head area for a light, comfortable cinch. Because it’s not tapered at the legs, the quilt offers plenty of legroom. The Pine is best suited for temperatures above 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

For the Pine, we sourced some of the highest-quality down available. Allied HyperDry down is Responsible Down Source (RDS) certified, bluesign approved, fluorocarbon free, allergen free, and water resistant. Sewn-through baffles keep the blanket light—19.2 ounces, to be exact—and the baffles are spaced 4.25 inches apart and stuffed to 2 inches tall. One horizontal sewn-through baffle in the middle of the blanket keeps the down from shifting.

Along with being versatile right out of the box, the Pine blanket is a DIYer’s dream. It comes extra-long to fit the tallest users, but can easily be shortened for a more personalized fit. The foot area can be tapered to make it lighter and slightly warmer around the legs, and a full side zip can be added for more sleeping bag functionality.
