I really think these are fantastic. I'm not new by any means to the audiophile hobby, but relatively new to high end headphones. I've been quite happy with a pair of Grado SR60's for a long time, but the price and reviews on these were too good to pass up.
Naturally, I got suckered into getting a headphone amp due to everyone's discussion stating how nicely these "scale" with the rest of the signal chain, and I am genuinely impressed with the pairing of the HD6XX's and the CTH+SDAC. I was previously powering them with my Sound Blaster Zx, which was no slough, but the CTH really tightened everything up.
Sonically, they're a pleasure to listen to. They're not bass monsters, but the extension is definitely there. One thing that really impressed me coming from my Grados is the actual sense of a soundstage. With my HiFi rig in the living room I can close my eyes and point at instruments. Call me crazy but I can almost do the same with this pair of cans. You can single out each instrument and detect nuances and details I had not previously heard. As much as I love my hifi setup, I'm goign to be spending a lot of time holed up in my office with my significant other knowing none the wiser. 5 stars solidly earned.

The audio on my pc38x is not working
One day I just plugged in my Pc38x and they stopped working. I tested the mic and it works, I've tried changing the cord multiple times and have adjusted the volume disk, none of this has changed my situation. I've tested the headphones on my PC, switch, and PS5 and the audio doesn't work there either.

Hifiman x Dekoni Cobalt or Massdrop x Meze 99 Noir
Im looking to buy a set of closed back headphones under $200. So far the two main contenders are the Cobalt and Noir. Has anyone compared these two? which seems to be better? Both are around the same price. Ive heard the cobalt is lacking in bass, while thats not ideal im not too worried as I dont often listen to bassy music.
