Im impressed with these headphones. Although not as wide sounding as other open back headphones that I own the sound quality of these make up for that.

JLE281Can you share where did you purchase the replacement cable for the HD6XX? And what's the difference in sound experience it makes? Thanks in advance for sharing

aminfahmiHonestly, I am not all that experienced with DACs. To my ears it sounds great. I was thinking about purchasing an SMSL SU-8 because of the balanced outputs but remembered that the Zen DAC also has a 4.4mm balanced output which made a significant improvement in sound quality. I mainly use Tidal so MQA was a big selling point for me apart from price point. Also, I had a good experience with the TrueBass feature with my AKG K240 mkII headphones, but not with the 6XX as it muddied the sound too much for my taste. The 6XX were underpowered by the Zen DAC so I ended up getting the THX AAA 789.

JLE281How did you connect Zen Dac to THX 789? I am getting impression that you have 4.4mm balanced out to L+R XLR input. Is that a single cable?
