Great Sound, Great Price
There's not a whole lot I could write about on the HD 6XXs that hasn't already been said before. I'm new to the "audiophile" game and wouldn't really call myself an "audiophile" at all. I'm not a professional musician but I've played an instrument in community bands and orchestras for 12 years, so I know what good, live music is supposed to sound like and can talk about musicality and such but don't have a whole lot of experience talking about the different sections of listening when it comes to high end headphones. All that just to say that I wanted to upgrade my audio equipment because I knew there was something better out there, but didn't want to drop a bunch of money on something I would never be able to appreciate without the prerequisite experience. Prior to the HD 6XXs, the best pair of headphones I owned were Grado's SR60e. I loved those headphones even though I knew they definitely had a "flavored" sound signature. I opted for the HD 6XX because I'd also read that Grado and Sennheiser have complimentary or opposing sound signatures. Ultimately, I'm really happy with the upgrade. There's details in songs that I hadn't known was there before. Instruments sound more crisp, vocals sound more warm, etc. I bought the Schiit Magni3+ to power the headphones. I didn't think I would end up buying a DAC but I did end up getting the Modi to go with it for future potential. I think it's a great set up for me and even my partner (not a particularly music inclined person) hears a big difference in the upgrade.

PC38X microphone volume too low
How can I increase the volume of the microphone of my PC38X? On my new Lenovo X1 extreme with Windows 11 the sound for my listeners is too low and I've tried everything available on Windows 11 and related drivers for the Realtek Audio 'card'. I've found a way to boost the volume using Sonar of the Steelseries GG Software. What other options would you advice me?

Best Headphones (without DAC) under $150
Hello folks, I've been following this blog for a while, and after a really long time, I've decided to get some nice cans. I am a student, so I don't think I can go higher than $150, and I don't have a DAC. I've researched on the following headphones- Beyer DT 770 80 ohm, AudioTechnica 50MX, Meze Noir, and some Senheiser models. As of now, I am leaning towards the DT 770's. Any recommendations as of 2022 on models I should check on? Any solid options?
