Sincerely one of the greatest headphones I know.

Out of my entire headphone collection, this is easily my favorite. It's sound signature allows for a nice warmth, smoothing over treble, without greatly reducing the presence of airiness or detail, nor muddying anything. It's probably not the most detailed headphone I've ever listened to, but it's one of the easiest. These are the cans I can always count on to grab and just melt away the hours if I've had a bad day. It sounds great on any equipment I put it on. Tube hybrid via XDuoo MT-602? Smooth central. Discrete solid state via Schiit Modi 3+? Excellent. Sounds great on my DAP, and my Centrance M8V2. Even if friends aren't into hi-fi I will still recommend they listen to these at least once because it's an experience like no other. I've no idea of the comparison between this and the original HD 650, but I imagine they are extremely close if not the exact same thing. Got it on sale back during Christmas season last year and honestly you'd be doing yourself a favor with these. It's almost an audio war crime to NOT listen to these or like them. Of course, I recommend using an amp with these due to the 300 ohm impedance.
