if you are looking for an enjoyable headphone. One that is pleasant and pleasing to listen to after a long day at work, just get a pair of these. I have had mine since the end of 2016. I was able to jump into the original drop of the HD6xx. I have bought several other headphones throughout this time and I always ended up with these.
the 6xx lacks quantity in bass, but it does not lack quality. it has enough for genres like Jazz, not enough for other genres though. I am currently powering my 6xx through the Massdrop Liquid Carbon and it just such a beautiful pairing. There is zero fatigue. the liquid carbon adds a bit of umph on the bass too.
these are great headphones for vocals. Male & female
After almost 3 years of buying and selling headphones, these are still sitting on my desk, because I have not found a better value than these anywhere
From the painless ordering process to making sure that the product arrived on time professionally packaged, along with an invoice to the actual product itself - the HD 6XX - Wow! I have been listening to music for over 40 years and have never heard my music like this before. Little nuances that were never heard before come out here. Not like hearing it for the first time, but like hearing a different mix of the same song. Very impressive Drop, please give yourselves a big hand for making these beautiful headphones even more available for all to enjoy!
Open backs project sound both towards your ears and out the sides of the earpieces.
This makes the sound feel as if they are coming from further away. Good for replicating the directions of where each vocals and instruments are coming from; like at a concert. Close backs sound as if the music is coming from the centre of your head; you get less "directional" experience but they feel more intimate.
Open backs leak sound so if you are riding on public transport, the people sitting next to you might look at you sideways wonder why you are playing music for everyone around you.
Most high end headphones are open back so don't worry about losing any sound quality from the leakage!
got the headphones about 4 months ago. They sound great! but i have noticed special audio is so bad now. for about a month or two they had such good special sound. i could pinpoint enemy foot steps dead accurate. now i cant tell if they right next to me or across the site. this happened to my game one headset. but it happened after using the headphones for like 5 years
Have had these for 5+ years and they've served me wonderfully. Daily driver for my computer and I used to take them on walks with my dog too. no complaints other than I wish new earcups were cheaper.
These are one of the best sounding headphones. Its sound is comfortable to listen to for a long listen session. The sound stage and clarity are excellent. Really good value!
Decent sound quality but terrible build quality in the cables = do not buy these.
The sound is very good. The connection cable is so beyond garbage I am beyond words. The first day I got them the sound started cutting out. Every single day since then they cut out at least once a day making me reach to plug them back in securly on the ears. These suck for that reason alone. I would never ever order these pieces of crap again, despite the sound quality. The build quality is a deal breaker.

Been my daily drivers for the last 5 years.
I've been daily driving these for 5 years now. I've always thought that they punched above their weight on bass, while being quite comfy to listen to across the entire sound range. They are incredibly comfortable to wear, so much so that I've worn them for upwards of 8 hours in my study jams without issue. In my 5 years of ownership I've only had to replace the earpads once.

Amazing headphones terrible padding
Everything about these headphones is fantastic except for the padding, probably one of the most uncomfortable headbands I've ever used.
If you have a larger head or find thin foam padding to be inefficient, this will 10 out of 10 times just end up hurting and 100% need a 3rd party replacement from someone like Dekoni.
High quality sound. Drivers are great, no distortion at all. Very comfortable. I literally wear it multiple hours per day. Even with that, there is minimal wear on the ear pads. If I were to pick one downside, that would be there is a bit more plastic on these headphones than their more expensive counterpart. However, I've also dropped these headphones multiple times and there's been no issues.

Got them yesterday and tried them on my set up and on a mobile laptop set up.
With the otl set up they sound absolutely incredible. Enough detail for me, strong bass, good treble and very warm. Personally I love it considering my usual that i love as well are the 800s. These feel like a great alternative to swap if you want more bass and a little more warmth sacrificing some detail. It is build well but a little plasticy. Although very comfortable!
To me these are fantastic and great for fun listening!
