Sorry Massdrop. Like these other folks have said, 6 months is not reasonable. This is 2 months more than my last 2 houses took to build from the ground up. Sennheiser is not taking you seriously, and by your underselling by 3000 units (w 12 hours to go) because of the $50 price hike, they're unlikely to do so
Will, you gave it a good shot. still very respectable sales! But this is a luxury item and the long production time has made it cold for disposable income spend. I look forward to the next try.
EDIT: Price dropped back to $200. Will, kudos for listening to customers and going back to re-pitch with Sennheiser... that elevates Massdrop to a premier brand, along with Sennheiser.
Well said. But, good headphones are much tougher to build than houses - more parts. Oh...wait...
I missed the first drop and was waiting the sequel (too long). The 6 month take-my-money-to-the-hedge-fund wait killed the deal for me. Just bought a pristine pair of open box 650s for less. Spent a few weeks searching for my deal and can spend the next 6 months listening to natural, detailed music rather than the sonic tedium of calendar page flipping.
$50 price increase + 6 month shipping wait = Recipe to stifle pent up demand. Good work, MD.
