Can anyone tell me if I should expect to pay any kind of import duty or tax when getting these shipped to Canada? I've never placed an order on Massdrop before so I'm not sure what to expect. This offer now looks too good to miss - despite the annoyingly long wait time...

It will likely come to Canada via USPS/Canadapost. Really depends if Canadapost/CBSA decides to charge it. When I got my K7xx, they didn't ding me. However, other items over time they have. I'm not sure what's their criteria. I will say, in general, the smaller the item, the likelier they will just let it by.
However, if they do decide to value it, you will be charged $9.99 (fee) + HST/GST on (CAD$ converted value). There was no duty on my audio gear. Duty is not the same as tax.
I will say that this HD6xx is a good deal for Canadians, even if they do charge tax. The cost will top out at $330 with all the fees/tax. I don't think the HD650 has dropped below $400 in Canada.

You should definitely expect to be paying tax and/or duty on these. What percentage has always been a little inconsistent and sometimes you sneak through without getting taxed, but at $215 USD, these are an incredible deal even with tax.

Idk how custom works anymore in canada. I just know it's random. I recently ordered a fightstick in japan for $350 USD and they didn't ask me for import tax. Yes, they declared the proper value as well properly. It's like 50-50 also with my orders so far with massdrop that are over $100
