Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I am apart of the drop - I waited for 6am PT. It's great to see that the drop has both increased in quantity as well as decreased in price.
But this is where my confusion sits - why is there no change of date in shipping? Surely affording an increased +-50% in drop quantity should affect some sort of production? Unless either or both Massdrop and Sennheiser knew that there would be a quantity increase and planned for such a lengthy date until shipping. There's a lot of talk about the lengthy production process and that's all well and fair. But adding 4000 units to the production line up and still hoping for the same shipping date can cause a lot of doubt/ speculation to whether the products are going to be produced in the same quality. Or, again, if knowledge of the entire quantity was previous knowledge and was planned for. There's also the fact that if there hadn't been plans for the extra quantity, why would it still take as long til shipping if there would be such a great amount left to produce.
This is all speculation on my part as I personally was wondering how the quality could be the same and my mind wondered.
I could go further to state that I could understand Sennheiser finding cheaper products and production methods - but all of that since the announcement of the drop would be somewhat unlikely in my opinion as quality is one of Sennheiser's pillars.
Anyway, I'd like to hear what the community and maybe even Massdrop has to say about this.
I look forward to reading your thoughts!
Still made in Ireland, still just a 650 with a different paint job (a good thing), just more of it and less cost to us.
