Update (July 26, 11:18pm): We are extending the drop till the end of the month as we have received several community requests about it. The drop will end on July 31st at 10pm PT. There will not be any change in ship time and everyone will be charged when the drop ends on July 31st.
---------------------------
Hey all,
First, a big thanks to the community for the amazing response toward the Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX.
To continue the chain of good news on this drop, we have been able to secure 10,000 additional serialized units as part of the second run. Furthermore, we are working to get another 3,500 units confirmed.
Drop Details Pricing is the same: $199.99 with free shipping to the US and $15 shipping per unit internationally. The drop will begin on Monday, July 10 at 6 a.m. PT and will continue until July 30 or until the available units sell out. A total of 10,000 units will be available, and as this is a continuation of the second run order that started in June, the drop counter will start at 11,500 and run to 21,500.
Shipping The additional 10,000 units will have the same expected ship date (December 18) as the rest of the second run.
A couple of people have asked if it is possible to speed up the production, given the obvious demand. I have copied Will’s response below to a similar question. As a summary, the bottleneck is a result of the lead time in sourcing components from part suppliers by Sennheiser further up the supply chain. That said, Sennheiser and our Logistics team here are continuing to work to deliver the HD 6XX as soon as possible.
Will’s post: “Ha, thanks for your post. I wish it was as simple as getting 500 more people at their facility in Ireland, but the time comes from further up the supply chain. The assembly step only takes a couple weeks, it's the parts suppliers that cause the long lead times (remember how replacement cables took six months?)
For reference, the first run took as long to make, we just offered them to the community later in the process. This wait is the same as that wait, but now you know you're waiting vs blissful ignorance. It's six of one, half a dozen of the other in objective terms, but that's not how it feels as a consumer.” (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx/talk/1735458)
Final Words All this wouldn’t be possible without the community’s response to the second run of the HD 6XX and we thank you all for it. Sennheiser revisited their production schedule as a result of the impact of your participation in the previous drop. This is a big achievement and the Massdrop community should be proud of it. As we mentioned earlier, we are working on securing another 3,500 units and will get back to everyone with an update as soon as we have confirmation.
List of countries that the drop will ship to: Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Belarus, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, Faroe Islands, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Mauritius, New Caledonia, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Peru, French Polynesia, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ukraine, United States, Uruguay, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Cyprus, Israel, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
Edit: Added what countries this drop would ship to. Edit: New drop extension update made.
kunalkumarFantastic news!
I kept missing out...Not this time!
Have secured my pair of HD6XX. Just hope they ship a little earlier but worth the wait!!

kunalkumarNo need to speed up the production process, take ur time but ensure the best quality which should not be compromised for the fall in price i'm really sorry to say this and i know that this may bother a lot of people but this a matter of concern, just a few hours back i was going through the discussion post of the K7XX and a lot of people reported souldering problem, poor quality wires and over time one of drivers on either side may stop working, and the overall build quality doesnt quite match the msrp... Really horriyfying to see those !!!

Nick123456I am worried as well since they just doubled the amount they need to produce in the same time. I don't feel like paying 299,99$ if I'm not getting the msrp quality.

pdesjarU just poured out my heart buddy, i feel the same. I love Massdrop and whatever they do but after checking the k7xx' discussion post i'm really worried because the same happened in their case also, there was huge demand and they produced a lot more than the previous time within the same time period. 5000 units on the first drop Of the HD6XX and a 6months break and then massdrop is jumping to 21,000 units.

Nick123456Plus, not many people (including me) have the knowledge or the equipement to properly test their headphone to see if the quality is there or not.
I wonder what is the manufacturing price of the HD650 compare to the HD6XX... Anyways, I hope they still go through some somewhat decent testing.

Jul 7, 2017
pdesjardinsSomebody who has a hd 650 can definitely spot out the differences incase there are any but the previous hd 6xx retained the original quality of the hd 650 which I got to know from the fellow reviewers on YouTube despite of a lower price tag. The msrp of 650 is 500 usd though i'm not sure but u can get them at amazon brand new for 315 usd with free 2 day shipping.
Nick123456@Nick123456 @pdesjar There will not be any compromises on quality. We won't be creating another drop if the increase affected the quality of the headphones at all. I'll look into the K7XX discussion to see the exact issues that the community is seeing. We have shipped more that 15,000 K7XX and there is an extremely low defective rate.
The countries that this drop would ship to will be the same as the ones in the June drop. There is no change on that front.

kunalkumarOh, this is "great". I have no problem with waiting until December 18 for you to ship this item out. But it's cutting it a bit too close to the max 180 day buyer protection that PayPal is offering. So I will not make any moves until December 26th, after that, if I don't receive a tracking number I'm afraid I will have to contact PayPal. Hope everything goes as planed though! P.S. I doubt you will sell another 10000 pieces, at least not in 20 days, so I really hope that doesn't prolong the delivery date!

Nick123456I don't know if any of the HD6xx have had quality problems, but if it makes you feel any better that is a problem that plagues the non-massdrop k7xxs as well. My k701s had the exact same problem and when I researched it a bit a lot of people have had that problem since the k701s first hit the market. I have 8 sennheisers (including the HD650), 3 of which I've had for almost 5 years, and I have never had a single problem with any of them.

kunalkumarI have joined the drop, but have two questions. I am moving to Maryland in one month, can I simply change the address in my account or do I need to contact support? Additionally, I will be visiting home (Nevada) December 23 for one week, so would it be better to ship to MD or NV? The apartment complex will likely only hold the package for a few days before sending it back, but I also don't want the package to arrive in Nevada after I go back to Maryland. Thank you for your time!

JNN1I need everybody to prove me wrong, honestly because if there are quality issues and eventually if i get to know that the hd 6xx ones i get them are worth only $200 and not the $500 msrp quality then there's no option else than scratching my head sitting in India. Even if massdrop acknowledges the problem and tries to help me then also the US - India distance gap is going to be a bit of a hassle. Sennheiser has always been top notch with the build quality inspite of their all plastic housing tradition but they live longer and that is exactly why people buy them, at least they expect something like a hd 650 to be immortal.

priyadiI am sorry but the shipping countries are the same as the June drop. I'll edit the OP to include the countries again.
BigBoyLokiWe have to keep the ship countries the same as the last drop to be respectful of the distribution agreements that Sennheiser already has in place. Some community members are looking into freight forwarding services., so that might be an option.
bananapotato@bananapotato @Pratik753 I have listed the countries that this drop would ship to in the OP above.

ProtoBeastRegarding the change of address, you would need to contact support since the drop is already over. You can do so through your transactions page.
Regarding MD vs NV shipping, I think you should wait on getting logistics updates before making that decision. You can always request our Community Support team for an update close to shipping time.

BigBoyLokiI'm too much frustrated right now, i was checking the AKG K553 pro on massdrop and the discussion post just changed my perspective of Viewing massdrop's quality control issue. It should be rather AKG in particular but since its a collaboration so i would held both of them responsible. The discussion started of with a defect in a right driver or something and would just not end and people would keep on saying sad stories about their mutiliated driver issue which existed even after replacement. Not even kidding, akg has been desperately trying to reduce production costs anyhow bypassing the limits. Hope Sennheiser never shows that sort of a Smartness. If anyone owns a hd 650 and is also getting a hd 6xx then kindly provide a quick comparison between them in this discussion post. Only then i will ship it to India provided the results are positive

The discussions in the k553 pro says it all, reviews are just a short summarisation of the specs and describe a bit about the fit n finish, thats it. But those who have owned them and use them on their regular audio sessions might not just simply lie on massdrop's community, it simply dosen't make any sense

pdesjarThe "original" second run was 5 000 units. That run was increased to 11 500, and now 10 000 have been added with the possibility of another 3 500. This total second run would be 25 000 headphones. This is 5 times the amount they needed to produce in the same time. EDIT: -I am not willing to state that the run increase is a poor decision on the part of Massdrop or Sennheiser. To me, this makes the second drop seem unprepared or premature. I did appreciate the forewarning and reserved day that was given to me and other members who had attempted to join the first drop (even if I did not receive the email). I was all too happy to join the second drop at the original 250$ considering the free shipping that was offered. The price drop to the original 199$ was greatly appreciated even though the price change meant added shipping charges and smaller overall savings compared to American buyers. Calling this current third drop (July '17) a "run extension" of the second one is a little insulting to those who joined the second drop a full month before this third drop -which has a listed delivery date 2 days prior to mine. Maybe my delivery date envy is quite petty and I will receive the headphones on an accelerated schedule. I hope so, as I pressed the "join drop" button last year.
kunalkumar could you clear this up: what is the delivery schedule for the second drop versus this third drop?

kunalkumarHi Kunal lets do some justice though we aren't in a court.. Lol The first 11,500 units were ordered a month before than the second run but despite of that fact the shipping date remains the same. On the first phase of the second drop nearly all the participants battled for a pair of these but now people can easily grab these due to lesser demand than before and also the shipping date remains the same which is a bonus. Same treatment for the students who came late?? How about a month early delivery for the first 11,500 units, everything is possible if u want to ...Do it man!!!

ProtoBeastJust get a post office box from either the usps or some stripmall office store. Or, just place a mail hold with the post office wherever you will be at a certain time. What this does is they hold all your mail for you until you are ready to receive it once more. Just go to USPS.com & see about holding your mail, there is a form you fill out online.

Nick123456Check out the YouTube video on the description page. It compares the 2.
These are still being manufactured in Ireland where the HD650s are made. I am sure components come from other sources, but final assembly and QC is in Ireland. So the failure rate should be the same as normal production HD650s.
As for AKG, I too, have seen many mentions of internal cabling issues mostly related to soldering. They are manufactured in China. So the QC is out of AKG's direct oversight. I ordered those anyway because re-soldering a cable joint is no big deal to me. When I get mine later this month, I plan to inspect the solder joints first thing.

IvanIThey've said several times that they can't. From what others are saying it seems that Sennheiser just ships all of them to Massdrop and Massdrop takes care of individual shipments.
DynawayWe are being respectful of Sennheiser distribution agreements and hence the specific countries where this drop is being shipped.
LeoLThey will be shipping from our warehouse in US.
S-binCommunity members have talked about looking into freight forwarders. This could be an option.
LeoL

Jul 11, 2017
kunalkumarCan I suggest that you consider setting up a warehouse in Europe? You are currently forcing EU customers to pay a large amount of tax for no reason. I know most of the US doesn't think the rest of the world exists but you are asking for a Massdrop competitor to enter the market.
LeoLThe savings we receive on our orders and pass onto the community takes in account a bulk shipment being sent to our warehouse where our logistics team breaks down the order into individual pieces. Hence, it gets operationally more complicated if we split logistics and Sennheiser or someone else manages the shipment in Europe. All this being said, we are trying our best in the background to see if there something more we can provide to the community. We've been taking note on the requests from all of you and are looking at ways to see what is feasible and how confident we feel about the solution. If we have an update at the end, we'll let the community know.

kunalkumarI wasn't suggesting that you get the manufacturer to send the orders to the customer. I assume you are paying an import duty on the items coming from Ireland and EU customers are then paying another import duty for the items to come back into the EU. This does not make any sense to me.
If you set up a logistics office in the EU then you could receive items manufactured in the EU to that facility and forward the items for the US onto the US logistics center. I don't know how many customers you currently have in the EU but I often see items on Massdrop that are manufactured in the EU. When I add the VAT, Import duty and handling tax onto the price it becomes too expensive and not worth buying.
Customers in the US are getting a great deal but potential customers in the EU are not. I know of no one in the UK who has even heard of Massdrop and yet I think if you removed the tax issues you would get many many customers here. If I understand it correctly the EU has double the population of the US and yet you are ignoring that market. In fact, worse than ignoring it, you are making it impossible to buy from you.
The EU also has a very diverse population in terms of salaries and if you choose the right location it would cost you much less to site a logistics center here than you would expect.
At the very least I am surprised that you don't attend Canjam London with a stand offering Massdrop deals.

Yup. Buying property/real estate and hiring employees definitely isn't cheap. That money has to come from somewhere. Either the sale prices will need to increase or Massdrop will need to take a hit on their profits to fund this sort of venture. Hint: no company in their right mind willingly takes hits on their profits if they can avoid it.

That is an extremely stupid comment. I'm not suggesting anyone avoid paying tax. I'm suggesting that tax need not be paid twice. It is paid by Massdrop to import to the US from the EU and is then paid again when it is imported back into the EU. That is madness.
If Massdrop wants to ignore a population twice the size of the US then it is up to them. But hardly anyone in the EU is ever going to buy from Massdrop with the current situation. I did not say it was simple but every other large online retailer does it.
The issue is not the same for Asia. The EU is one large economic region with no trade barriers and has double the population of the US. The same logic applies to China because of it's size. It does not apply to the rest of Asia. It is basic economics. Massdrop has a great business model but if it ignores the situation someone else will take that model and do it for the EU.

RiflemanFirstI mean we're on a website that is essentially asking for 6 month interest free loans from their customers to provide goods.... So we're already doing things a bit backwards here. I quit buying shit with this long of a lead time. It's absurd. If they want to sell something like this they should at least get the production going a bit first. Having your customers paying for the raw materials for a product is more of a kickstarter campaign....

GetOffMyPrawnI look at this drop as a preorder. I already have HD650s, so this is basically just a wait for a "special edition." Thankfully, you as a consumer can make your own decision as to whether or not the lead time is worth saving some money. For those who don't already have these headphones or HD650s, you could spend more to get HD650s now or save some money and get your HD6XXs in December. I think either decision would be a good choice.

NanoboyIt doesn't hurt to be optimistic but it isn't really that easy and I highly doubt Massdrop can convince Sennheiser to open up their distribution agreements. There's likely something more behind it because I can't see a good reason why a company would want to limit their distribution. But to clarify, I am not bashing the community for trying. I have no reason to not want everyone outside of the US get the same shipping treatments as we do in the US. That would be amazing, in fact. I'm just pointing out that as a customer service rep, you give a "canned response" that applies to a question that people are asking over and over. It's just tedious to answer every person individually when the question is exactly the same and the answer has already been posted. That's why kunalkumar posts the same thing every time. So if you're gonna bash him for being a "broken radio," well, so is everyone else in a sense. It's one thing to put up your argument and show that there is demand from your country. It's another to ask repeatedly "Why no shipping to X?"

The old Austrian akg had pride in there product and the made in Austria label & put out good products but that is not what akg is about anymore it's just a prestigious name for companies with no pride to make a fortune on it's a real shame and really hits a spot with me as a long time akg fan

NanoboyAs I've said, Massdrop has no say in that. The world of marketing opens up a huge discussion that I myself am not familiar with but Massdrop will not convince Sennheiser to break their distribution agreements, which are contracts btw not just a verbal statement of I'll only ship here, here and there. Like I said before as well, Sennheiser likely has a reason for not shipping directly there and Massdrop is only honoring that. I understand it's a huge pain in the ass and I am very sorry for you, but that's one of the drawbacks of going through Massdrop; hopefully, just for now as I'd like for them to open up to the rest of their audience.

TanvirK175So many manufacturers have structured their global networks in ways that restrict sales, marketing, and servicing. Nikon will refuse to repair gear in a country if it wasn't purchased there - which made me crazy when I spent a couple years in Singapore, both times I needed a repair, I had to ship back to the US, because Nikon had a prohibition on cross border sales that cascaded down to cross border repairs. I've had the experience with audio gear, too. I can't fault Massdrop for it, and it'd be good if on any drop, they were very clear why certain restrictions applied.

EdinNJUse a freight forowarding company instead. I stay in India and i'm doing the same, people need to reconsider what's feasible and what's not, in our case we can probably request them once or twice nd that's it, if they can't then we should look into other options. Sennheiser and Massdrop knows what exactly means business. They will obviously try to ship globally as it will contribute to their overall profit. Some rules and guidelines are definitely taking control of their distribution agreements and thats the sole reason why they have strictly limited their shipping policy within a particular region.

kunalkumarHi, Massdrop Team member. I have a cuestion. How come, you can ship to countries like Colombia, Argentina and Peru (talking about America Latina), but you don´t ship to my country Mexico that is far more near and easy to ship? I buy very often on Amazon USA and Amazon Mexico, but you guys have a lot of nice stuff like this "HD 6XX" that I can´t buy anywhere else. If there is an option to do so, please tell me. And if you don´t, I really think that you are loosing sales, because your system of prices based on buys is really nice. I hope I made my self understand (because of my english) and you can give an answer. My best regards.

Parts of the EU have a much higher standard of living than in the US. It is up to Massdrop to decide whether it wants to grow or not, but the EU has a high population and China even more. You already got the business model and know what to do, so maybe you can start it before someone else catches on. Just be sure to inform us of your advances so we can become potential customers!
daisuke_jpIt's due to distribution agreements that Sennheiser has in place. Many community members are using freight forwarders to get products to places where this drop is not shipping. You could try looking into that option.
Mandingo@Mandingo @Rajith We can only ship to the countries listed within the drop because of Sennheiser's distribution agreements. There are community members who are looking into using freight forwarders that would ship to those countries. You both could look into that.

kunalkumarAbout that tax for UE shipments - I know that Sennheiser will not take care of individual shipment, but I'm sure it can split the shipment into US and UE. I'm sure that some company in UE would be able to resend it to individual customers - it should be cheaper than package from US? If not perhaps UE customers can pay for such service for example + 2$ or 5$ or even wait one week more? - this would be still much cheaper than custom/tax! IMHO would prefer paying additional few $ for that kind of service. You have 5 months to figure this one out so please think about it. You can gain a lot of happy customers in UE.

LeoLI don't think businesses pay imports to the US, only individuals do. IIRC these were political and legal decisions decades ago, and why people like Ross Perot warned about it and why Trump mentioned it's an issue. It's cheaper and easier for big businesses to just outsource things because there is no penalty for them. At the same time, individual citizens don't get that benefit, otherwise they could also just import directly for cheap from foreign companies.
If big business had to pay to import they wouldn't bother outsourcing, because they'd lose all the profit margins on the way back in.

jefe32That's very reasonable. I think I'm just going to join the drop, but I'm still doubting if it would be better than my Philips X2HR.

kunalkumarThis is becoming very frustrating. Support was contacted and a response came back indicating "warranty support is the same", what is the same? I am new to massdrop and this is my first purchase. Simple basic questions such as what should we do if the headphone needs repair? Who to contact and where to send it to? Who bears shipping charges for those residing outside of the US during warranty period? etc., etc. Really common sense questions. Not rocket science. I have not seen any written description on such "same" procedure anywhere on your website. Can MD kindly point me to it please. I couldn't understand why Massdrop treat warranty support topic with vagueness. People were asking for clarification in the thread but no one knows anything. MD should be more forthcoming with this issue. I asked you Kumar as I thought you were spearheading this drop and you directed me to contact support for help. After I did so, Support is telling me it is the "same". Come on Massdrop, if no warranty is provided for this purchase, just say so and I will cancel the transaction. It is frustrating to keep chasing on what should have been an easy answer.

ZegnaClaiming warranty is the same process you just went to to ask support about warranty claims
Zegna2 year warranty is included as mentioned at the bottom of the 'Description' page. When I stated earlier that you can contact support, I meant that in case of a problem after delivery you can contact our Community Support team and they would be able to help you with the return/exchange. I apologize if it wasn't clear earlier.

Nick123456the msrp is 100% irrelevant, that was the manufacturer recommended price when the model first came out like 10+ years ago. the hd 650 sells new on amazon regularly for $315 with 2 day shipping (prime). these tend to sell new $315-$375, and msrp/cost is no indication of quality, look no further than multi thousand dollar hifiman headphones for an example of high cost and low build quality.
Bbh2017The drop will only ship to the countries listed because we have to be respectful of Sennheiser's distribution agreements. Community members have been looking at freight forwarding as an option and this could be something to check out.

kunalkumarI didn't realise delivery would be in half a year when I made my purchase, it seems like everyone else knew this. I do still feel like I've been fooled by massdrop. I thought making and sending headphones would take 2-3 months :( I think I'll buy "new" next time, this made me realize I priotize time over money when we are talking half a year wait.

EmilBoilerThe delivery date has been there from the start so there's no "fooling" involved. For future reference, estimated delivery time is all the way at the bottom of the description for every item on Massdrop. As said in the OP of this thread, the long wait is due to sourced parts from higher up the chain and making the headphones will only take some weeks. Also this is a "new" condition item in all sense of the word so not sure what you mean there.
That being said, they will be trying to get it shipped out much sooner but it's all up to the companies that Sennheiser sources parts from. They got my Massdrop x JBL LSR30X speakers out on July 20th while the estimated was August 10th which is pretty great so I have reason to believe they'll actually try if it's possible.

dastinywalkr@dastinywalkr @DacerP We can only ship to the countries listed within the drop because of Sennheiser's distribution agreements. There are community members who are looking into using freight forwarders that would ship to those countries. You both could look into that.

kunalkumarHi, Could you please specify the carrier company you'll be using for international shipping (specifically to Israel, if it matters)? Customs brokerage costs vary widely between carrier companies, so this will affect my decision to join the drop (which I'm very interested in). Thanks a lot in advance!

kunalkumarIt would be nice to know exactly what that "extremely low defective rate" is. In fact, it would be terrific if Massdrop tracked that for all repeat drops, especially of Massdrop special edition products.
It's human nature to say nothing when we get what we expect, but to complain when events fall short of our expectations. If potential purchases are not occurring because of what people perceive as "many" negative reviews in the forums, it could even be good for Massdrop's bottom line to show that on the contrary, the *rate* of dissatisfaction is very low -- if that is in fact the case.

Show me where this says "pre-order." It doesn't. And Massdrop is being quite dishonest about this, you have to dig deep into the post to even discover the absurd ship date! I guarantee lots of people who ordered are in for a nasty surprise, when they're out $200 with no headphones to show for it
lshriver

Jul 30, 2017
SlowCousinPeteDeep into the post? Dishonest? It's not even hidden it's quite obvious, and absurd ship date? Not really. You order 20,000 headphones from let's say Audio Technica. Tell me when you expect to receive them because they sure as hell won't have them tomorrow. The first drop of these took 6 months to get the correct cables sent out because their parts suppliers don't give a crap and take their time. Massdrop is where you go to save money if you don't mind waiting, sometimes waiting a long time. If you don't think it's worth it, pay the $300+ on amazon. But as you can see thousands of people think it's worth the wait, myself included.

Jul 30, 2017
lshriverWell aren't you fortunate that you can afford to pay $200 now and not receive anything for it for half a year. It might come as a surprise to you that not everyone can afford to do that.

Jul 30, 2017
SlowCousinPeteIf you can't afford 200 for something to receive it later, you also can't afford 200 to receive something now. In the end, you can't AFFORD it. I agree half a year is a very long time to wait but massdrop is being VERY honest about by telling us exactly what's taking so long. It's up to the end user to understand and accept or not accept that aka join or not join the drop. And please lol: maybe you're new to massdrop and didn't know but the shipping date is ALWAYS at the bottom of the drop description page, no matter the drop. Blame ONLY yourself for jumping at a drop before knowing that.

TanvirK175Yes...Yes...Yes to every statement. There aren't magic fairies waving wands to get this done. 20,000 units is a lot. If you don't have the money to buy, then don't. They have to raise the money to pay for supplies and workers. If they build a bunch and people change their minds...well then they are out lots of money, It's not that complicated. I admit i am new to the game and did freak out over the AKG fiasco, but Come on Man.
TanvirK175

Jul 30, 2017
hagenhaysYep, I heard the AKG issues were because production was moved to China to make it the price point it is but Sennheiser is still working out of Ireland, which is where I believe the 650's was originally made anyways, so I have no worries here.

Jul 30, 2017
lshriverYeah, it's all on how much you value time vs. money. Although these also have the different color scheme and cables, so they can sort of be a collector's item.
I bought mine off Amazon at $315. But I will be moving at the end of the year and of course that would make taking shipment a bit tricky, moving has enough headaches that I didn't really want another one.
If I was sure I'd be in the same spot 6+ months later and didn't actually need anything until then, I think $200 is an amazing deal. The 6 month time is a bit high but that's the price to pay for such an incredible bargain. You basically lock in a great deal for the holidays, whereas you're never guaranteed to get a deal like this around the holidays even if it's available, since they tend to sell out so fast.

They're shipping them all out at the same time likely. I doubt Sennheiser would want to send multiple shipments of cargo to Massdrop when sending all units minimizes costs for them. I get your point but does it really matter all that much?

SlowCousinPeteNot everyone can afford it? The money isn't available one way or another! You get the headphones in 6 days = the money isn't available (because you have spend it) You get the headphones in 6 months = the money isn't available (because you have spend it) There is no difference concerning "being able to afford them".

Or were you planning on selling them?

Nick1234561. AKG closed their factory in Austria and the quality of old just isn't there for a lot of the models they still make. 2. Sennheiser is a completely different animal. If this drop is like the previous one, then your 6XX will be made by Sennheiser's factory in Ireland, and even the Sennheiser rep said that the quality would be indistinguishable from that of the HD650.
I own the HD580, HD600 and now the HD6XX. I haven't noticed a difference in quality apart from the two originals' textured looks and smoother surfaces. My 6XX feels well built.

kunalkumarHi Kunal finally Massdrop has achieved and fulfilled people's requirements for this drop of not being short lived like the 1st hd 6xx drop and also greater availability quantity wise allowing a lot of people to participate plus the website didnt have any errors either due to larger trafficking. U guys really deserve an appreciation for making a whole of things possible which was hard to imagine previously. Now only if u can probably SHIP THIS A BIT EARLIER than the specified time then it'll be a lot to me at least, its just a request from me but a challenge to u guys because with a earlier shipping, its going to be an absolute treat.
