HeayaIt will probably be "good enough" if you have never listened to a decent DAC/amp setup before. They will get loud enough most likely, but if you want to hear what these are truly capable of, I definitely recommend a quality DAC & headphone amp. They really do bring out the depth and detail of the sound compared to sound cards.

HeayaWhat's your budget? I highly recommend a Schiit Jotunheim with DAC module.

HeayaThe Jotunheim w/ DAC would be $499 USD (around 430€ ) before shipping and any other fees.

HeayaThe Jotunheim is overkill already, even a Schiit Fulla 2 is way better than that soundcard and probably all you really want, the next level (Schiit Stack) is as far as id go with the 6XX, the Modi already has a dac so good that its almost beyond what you can hear + 2 high quality capacitors which cost 6$ each (the Fulla has ceramic capacitors instead) = more than you need already And well, the Magni is a powerful 100$ amp that should be more than twice the price with its midclass - highend amplifiers built in and no capacitors (exept for the powersupply) but having the currency on the output evened out by hand instead of using coupling capacitors, which is freaking amazing at 100$ The Jotunheim is for more expensive headphones and more "into it" listeners...

RiflemanFirstThe 6xx(650) are some of the most scalable headphones there are. Start with the Schiit stack, and for most people that will be all you will need. If you want to go up from there a Schiit jotunheim or a bifrost with a lyr amp would be another great combo.

Vincent_00006"The Jotunheim is for more expensive headphones and more "into it" listeners..." Ridiculous. Jotunheim is an entry level, balanced amp, yet very high quality. The hd650s are a superb match for this amp as they are legendarily scalable and lend themselves to balanced connectivity. The Jotunheim is cheap and the HD6xx here are absurdly inexpensive...hard to go wrong.
