NorthernVenomWell asking on the 6xx drop page will get you quite obvious answers, I personally also looked for comparsion between the two, and got to conclusion they're not really much to compare but just different type and color and one person would prefer these while the other the k7xx.
I actually ordered the k7xx as for the ship date being shorter, liked the overall look more, and in terms of sound wise they have more soundstage and suits better for gaming&movies.
Both are great anyway I would get both if I had the money.
** also one more thing to utilize to its fullest the hd6xx you will need a more expensive dac/amp while for k7xx you can
get quite cheap dac/amp and receive great sound overall. ( Ipersonally ordered the FiiO e10k for 75$ with them)
NaorFWell said.
And although the K7xx has a wide soundstage, I feel the HD650 has a deeper one. Both are equally good for gaming, both are surpluses for gaming.
There's no headphone that truly outclasses another headphone in every way, it all depends on what you like. I've got a high end set-up driving my HD800 but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy my M50 from time to time.
Jabba23Because most people buying these cans on massdrop are just breaking into the audiophile market for the first time, and then still need to budget for a DAC/Amp.
NorthernVenomAKG K7XX 62 Ohms Vs. Sennheiser HD 6XX 300 Ohms
Made in China Vs. Made in Ireland
Harman owned by Samsung Vs. Sennheiser family owned
I have the Q701 made in Austria, they're OK. Can't wait to try the HD6XX :)
Also hoping for the HD700 drop to reappear :D and hopefully a HD800 drop :D
for amps, the Sennheiser ones look great. Haven't tried them myself, but would like to.

DinoJoeEven an amp like the 35$ NX1a from Topping available from Massdrop or other online services is enough quality and power to drive the HD6xx. Many other relatively cheap alternatives exist (O2, Magni2, Dragonfly, etc.)
JackulaPretty much nailed it. I started as a non-audiophile. Now I'm 580$ in with amp/dac and 6xx.. Now I'm a non-audiophile who spent alot of money on audio gear.
Actually the dac/amp I bought made a HUGE difference with even the Sennheiser PC37x I bought... Not really "audiophile" headphones but they sound great with a real amp and lossless music... I didn't know what I was missing until now...
