Apparently, there's a new updated version of the HD650s now called the HD660. It has nearly the same sound except with more subbass and painted all black.

JishengYep, this is currently the big news on several headphone sites. If it's true would also go a long way to explaining why Sennheiser has recently been so willing to dilute the 650 is such a big way.

JishengHD650 prices are already only just north of 300 even before the 660. I wonder if Massdrop has in part been responsible for this.

SomeTechNoobI checked pricing history on Amazon, looks like the deep discounting only happened around the time of the late 2016 drop, so suspect that Massdrop has had a bit of an effect here. Also interesting to see that the price did go back up to 500 a lot of the time.
Back up to 375 at the moment though.
