I received my headphone a few days ago. For any Canadian, specifically Ontarians who is wondering how much is the extra fee from purchasing this product, I hope this will answer your question:
search
0 duties, 32 bucks of tax (13%), and $10 brokerage fees from DHL
Other than that, here are the pictures that I have taken on the headphone:

Keefermy magni 3amp is not here yet (probably next week), so its hard to judge it as of now. But in terms of my current impression without an amp (with my macbook touch bar (has a really awesome + clean DAC), the best way to describe it, and keep in mind I am just a casual listener, is that it plays anything effortlessly. The jump from my 598 isn't big without an amp, but 598 is an awesome headphone in itself so my standard is already pretty high. When comparing between the two, I can tell that the 6xx has an easier time playing songs. Instruments that usually get squashed by louder ones on my 598 are cleaner and more prominent on the 6xx. The bass (even without an amp) is so much nicer on the 6xx than the 598. Its tighter and punchier. The 6xx is definitely warmer than the 598. I have my main PC back home that has a nice dac and amp (can drive 600 ohm headphones) and I remember that my 598 being punchier, louder, and tighter at everything. Now that headphone is only 50 ohms. So I totally can't wait to listen to the 6xx if it is being driven properly (as it is a 300 ohm headphone).

RaikozyIt’s really a shame they didn’t use USPS, then there is no $10 brokerage fee... but then again, I guess that may have cost another $10 upfront.

RaikozyMy magni3/modi2 uber arrived a day before my HD6XX. I couldn't believe how much the amp improved the sound of my HD 598. I think you will be impressed by how much of a difference an amp makes to the sound of your headphones.

kxrider85my goodness, really? Can you describe in detail how does this headphone compared in terms of sound output when its ampless vs when you plug it to that magni 3? I am so exited lol. This headphone is already great as is, but based on my experience with the 598 with amp back home, I am expecting much more with this one as this headphone is rated for 6x more ohm than the 598 @50.

RaikozyWhen I first tried my HD 598 my initial impression was that it brought out a ton of the bass and thump it lacked before, as well as tame the treble and maintain good separation at louder listening volumes. When I compared the HD 6XX connected to the magni 3 with the HD 6XX connected to my computer, I wouldn't say I notice a 6x difference, but then again, maybe my ear is not as well trained.
I'd say the difference between the HD 598 and the HD 6XX (both with amps) is more noticeable than the HD 6XX with or without a amp, but that's just my opinion. With that said, I definitely would not recommended running the HD 6XX without an amp. When plugged into my computer, not only do you have to turn the volume over twice as high as the HD 598, I found that parts of some songs would get noisy and the loss of separation took away from the music, which sounds strange and uncharacteristic of the HD 6XX considering they are typically warm and relaxing headphones (this doesn't mean that I didn't hear low end and depth though). When I connect them to the amp, you could say the 'true' sound of the headphones is made present. When comparing magni3 & HD598 with the magni3 & HD6XX, the HD 6XX sounds warmer yet just as detailed, if not more, winning in about every possible way.
Overall, these headphones are incredible sounding. The depth, slight warmth, detail, and giant drivers contribute to an extremely immersive listening experience. You definitely won't want to be taking these off once you put them on!
These were just my impressions from having the HD 6XX for a few hours and switching amps/headphones and replaying songs over and over. Take it with a grain of salt :)

kxrider85sorry for the late reply, have been so busy all day. But wow, what a nice surprise. I thought the 6xx would benefit more from an amp than the 598 (as its only a 50ohm headphone and doesn't technically need any amp at all to run). Do you think the amp improves the bass on the 6xx? What I am hoping for the 6xx with amp is to have a tad more stronger and rounder bass + the stuffs you mentioned in your post about seperation, being natural, and louder (yeah I have to run this on my macbook pro ampless 2 ticks away from 100% volume haha). I love warm headphone so thats a thumbs up 👍🏻 for me. Oh IMO this headphone shines above the rest including 598 when you play high dynamic songs into this headphone. I love r&b songs (eg: sabrina claudio songs), man it sings so good!

DwarveSCif its to Canada, the extra is tax (cuz 215 doesn't include tax). The tax depends on which province you live. In ontario, its 13%. Then you pay 10 dollars for the broker. I didn't pay for custom, it is 0.

RaikozyDid you have to pay that when they delivered? I assumed that 215 would cover all of it as I didn't read anywhere that tax was not included...

DwarveSCWhen the item crosses border, it will be handoffed to Canada Post. You will get a tracking code for that and you will realize 2 features of your parcel, card for pick up and cod. Card for pick up means Canada post will drop a card for your with pick up location and time. Cod means you need to pay extra cost exactly as I have shown in the picture. You will have to show an identity card and the card for pick up thing to the person before you can get your item.

DwarveSCyeah I was like really, no tax (when i first purchased it). But I kinda doubt that it will actually be the case lol. I think the only times I've never been charged tax is when I purchase online - digital stuffs.
