If I use these on a vintage Kenwood Receiver will I need a headphone amp? Thanks

KCFM1Probably not. I all depends on the output of your unit. Most often a headphone amp is used with a portable device or computer as those don't have enough 'oomph' to suitably power the HD6XX.

KCFM1Yeah typically the receiver's main power amp circuit is used for the HP jack with some output resistors which are meant to affect frequency response. But...I have a vintage Denon that I'm using right now and it sounds great. It's also nice to have controls for treble/bass, most HP amps don't have them.
