guys i own a pair of K7XX 's . Is this a worthy upgrade ?

I'd say they are different headphones. If you want more detail and less bass(more analytical). Then yes, but if you enjoy the warm signature of your K7XXs and big soundstage then these might not be what you're looking for. Again, they are DIFFERENT not better or worse. I think if you have $200 to spend on headphones, these or the Fostex T50RPs are definitely the headphones you want to add to your collection.

I actually like the clarity of the K7XX. Bass seems perfect for me , even at high volumes ,i get very clear audio . Not keen on more bass . I would like a headphone which performs similarly at high volumes .

If you have an amp powerful enough, the T50RPs will sound very similar to the K7XXs. But they are very sensitive to the distance between the driver and your ear and stock comfort isn't great. But there are easy fixes for that like pad swapping with Shure perforated leather pads for MK3 t50rp. Maybe also look at monoprice m1060 or hifiman he6. All of these are planar magnetic headphones though so you'll need some serious power to drive them.
