I am a drummer and want good headphones to go with my new LGV20 phone. With these being open back design would the HD 6XX be a good choice, I like to hear my drums as well as the song I am working on. And, If I join the drop today when should I expect the nee headphones to be delivered to my door in Illinois?

drumerjeffHey another Jeff, welcome to the drop! I have the LGV20 also. I'm still waiting for my 6xx but when I plug something with higher impedance it recognizes it and it sounds pretty good. I don't know about the drumming so I hope this was at least a little useful.

Jeff-DI use my 6XX on my LG V20 all the time, it works fantastically. It won't make them shine, the phone amp isn't as powerful as these can use, but it will get the impedance right and still sound fantastic. You can still hear everything around you at reasonable volumes since it's open back as well. I'm going to order another pair to have on hand just in case these ever break, not that I expect that any time soon.

Thanks for your reply! I also use the headphones one ear on and one off occasionally to hear the drums better. I will consider the these 6xx headphones for sure, although it is a hard decision to make. I have a pair of Sony MDR-XB500 that I use and they are good, just wonder id spending 200.00 for the X66 is worth it, will they blow my old Sony's away?

JSMEESAfter tons of reading about phones with excellent music players the V20 was the one I could afford with the best specs. It really does sound great but but I need to upgrade my headphones to really take advantage of the new phones sound quality. I saw in a video that the V20 was a good match for the X66 so that is why I am considering them. Thanks for your help!
