NOT! They're velour (or what somebody at Sennheiser thinks velour is)--using a paper towels will leave little bits of light colored fuzz all over the dark colored ear pads. Use a sticky lint roller instead!

And smell like Pine-Sol all day? Forget that--do as I do: place them in the dishwasher and set the dial to the Ear-pad Cycle.
