Does anyone have experience ordering these (or any other) $200 pair of headphones shipped to Europe? Did you pay import duties and VAT on your $200+ order? Typically massdrop ships via DHL and then hands it off to our local National Post. I've not had to pay import duties on my <$100 orders so far.
PLEASE SHARE IF YOU HAVE SUCH INFO

I got the HE4xx shipped to Ireland recently and I paid the VAT on them to take the delivery. (a little bit under €40 I think) They were less than the €150 threshold for duty so that didn't apply, would probably get stung for that as well otherwise.
In my case, it was our postal service that collected the tax so maybe it depends on what country you're in. I wouldn't count on not paying it anyway.

I'm in Bulgaria and we have the same regulation whereby under €150 you only pay VAT on an import and above €150 you pay VAT + import duties. THE FUNNY PART: if your items are made in EU like Sennheiser is made in Ireland and they ship them with EUR1 certificate, then you don't pay import duties but only VAT.
Well it seems like purchasing $199 cans from Massdrop is not so attractive for us. I'm able to purchase HD600 which gets much better reviews for €250 or $296 shipping included from inside Europe (with some typical 20% off).
