FlyByNighthi. i'm also in canada and wondering was it canada post that delivered your 6xx. and when did you order them. i was worried about a big fee from a courier to collect tax if they were the one to deliver mine to me in b.c. your experience seems reasonable cost wise. thanks for your post and any reply to my questions.

marshmcd650Hi, it was Canada Post that delivered my 6xx to me in N.S. I placed my order on mar.7/18, it shipped on may.30 and I received it on june.14 There wasn't a tracking update after the package cleared customs.
I hope this info helps.

FlyByNightI feel your pain, @FlyByNight ... we Canadians get hosed at the border. If one were to buy the HD650 at a bricks-and-mortar store, we'd be paying double the price. Re: Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nix can belt it out. Just wait until you spin up her solo album, eh... Cheers from Hogtown.

FlyByNightNot to mention the HD598's are very grainy compared to the 6XX, I can't believe its not butter! :p

These sound much better than my HD598. I chose as my first song “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac. I’m very familiar with this song and noticed a difference from the beginning. The bass is much improved, more detail in the midrange and I found a big difference with Stevie’s voice. It felt like she was singing in the same room with me. I felt giddy just listening after a few minutes, the same way I did the first time that I used an amp/dac. The clamping force is stronger than the 598 but doesn’t bother me, I used the 280pro for years and had no problem with those. I’m using the Topping D3 amp/dac to power these and it’s doing a fine job.
