got a schiit fulla 2, upgrading from shp9500s. i'm pretty sure the fulla will push it, otherwise i can order a magni 3 and tack it on. super excited for them to arrive in 2 freakin months lol. hate that about massdrop. i was considering the hd600s but for 200 you really can't beat a brand new set of 650s.

CwalkPinoyI bought the Fulla 2 for this as well, with the plan to get the magni if it doesnt pull its weight. I have a pair of Blue Mo-Fi with teh built in AMP and the fulla 2 doesnt seem to push as hard as the amp in the headset.

Andzxyeah i heard it gets like... loud but not like too loud for hd600/650s. it pushes the ships fine, easily blowing my ears out but they can be pushed with front panel audio just as well. fulla 2 is bae. i have my jbl lsr305s plugged into the passive headphone knob, turntable in front 1/8. basically an all in one in such a small form factor lol.

CwalkPinoyThe Magni 3 is an excellent pairing and will provide a slightly more open sound. It will also increase the fullness of the sound. The Magni 3 actually has more power at 300 ohms than the single-ended side of the Jotunheim.

CwalkPinoyI'll tell you that the Magni 3 is a MUCH better pairing with the 300 ohm Sennheisers. I had the OG Magni, the Magni 2 and 2 Uber and they always felt like they were constraining the HD600's and HD650's.

OCBobah gotcha. idk how much the magni 3 changed over the 2, but the 2 will def be an upgrade over the fulla 2. i'll look into graphs about the 2 vs the 3.

When I got the 3 I noticed immediately how effortless the amp sounded with my HD6XX than had my previous Magni 2 Uber. I specifically chose that headphone to do the comparison based on my past experience with the earlier Magnis. Even with my Porta Pro's (the headphones I used on a daily basis with the M2U) sounded more open and alive on the 3. IDK if a graph can show that, but it was very easy to hear.
I don't want to sound like I'm dumping on your choice of amp, I just want to make sure that you are able to get the most out of your HD6XX's while staying within your budget. I hope you understand.

OCBobyeah definitely lol, i know what you mean. i was checking reviews all day to see exactly what the difference was from people who'd tried it. they're surprisingly uncommon but what i found was if you just had the magni 2 or uber or the magni 3, all of them would be good, but if you compared the 2 and the 3 the difference is just enough where the 3 would sound better.
again though, $50 price difference, i decided to get it just cause b stock and it wouldn't be enough where i'd be like "damn i wish i had bought the 3"
edit: forgot it was 60 with shipping in vs 110 for a magni 3
