Hey guys. I've seen posts about people replacing the cables that come with these headphones. I'm curious if this actually makes any difference in the quality of sound? They're already amazing, so it's hard to imagine them being any better. Thanks!
Cables make the least difference in terms of sound quality. In order of highest to lowest impact: headphones > amp > dac> lossless vs well encoded lossy file > cables. You'd probably notice a larger change in perceived sound signature just shifting how they sit on your head or by turning the volume up 1dB
I figured as much but decided to ask to make sure! Thanks :D
It’s generally accepted that a cable is a cable is a cable. The differences are mostly aesthetic and functional- color/material , length, sturdiness. Of course, some will argue they hear a difference. Who am I to say they don’t?
I thought so! But it's always better to be safe than sorry! Thank you!
If your amp has a balanced phone output it does make a difference.
