Finally the HD6XX arrived 3 days ago, I've been waiting a long time to try these out. Specially after all what ive read out there about them and form what people around me say.. "why don't you try Sennheisers?" is the absolutely most annoying question that people ask me over and over again. I haven't tried many headphones, what I can remember now from my collection is: B&W P5 B&W P7 JVC HA-SZ2000 RHA IME (few ones) Audeze EL-8 Closed Back What stuck most with me are the El-8. They sound freaking god! Crisp, super crisp and with the right headphone amplifier you will push these with amazing bass response. But they are heavy.. sensitive if to loud and closed back, open back is open back and no closed headphone can compete according to me. So now I have the Hd6XX and directly I plugged it to my iFi iDSD Black. And wow! They sound different. I checked lots on the discussions thread here and saw that many mention they are bright, and that surprised me when I listened to them. They are not bright! :/ Have you guys ever tried the EL-8? HAHA they are bright! What I directly understood is that 6xx don't like to much power from the iDSD Black. So I switch to my Schiit Lyr 2 (stock tubes) and again W O W! these headphones move and they sounds great. Actually the only headphones that made me go wow are the EL-8 since they are the most fancy headphones ive tried and own. So did these Hd6xx. Love mids and lows. Give these headphone a try with Spoiler - Hyper. Blows away many headphones!! So to all you people who nagged me to try out Sennheiser, Thank you! :) Absolutely my favorite headphone now!
