My Payment went through, My ship date is 2-21-19. Paid for expedited 2 day shipping. Ordered my Scarlett solo 2nd gen amp for these and set it all up. All I need are these beasts to continue my mixing!!! Can't wait! First time on massdrop by the way. These were recommended by my buddy who got these on the last drop. He lives by them.

You may want something with more power than the scarlette. The scarlette is usb powered, and well these are 300 ohms. You may get good volume out of these with the scarlette (everyone's hearing and volume preference is different) but most (including myself) suggest getting a powered amp of some sort.

I asked this question to my buddy prior to purchasing the Scarlett solo. Technically, it should suit my required hearing limit cause I mix at negative 5db anyways(varies). I will test it out and see for myself and will respond back to this suggestion for an update. Thank you for your input and suggestion. By the way, what amp would you recommend under $150.00??

I'm going to buy the Schiit Magni 3. Great Headphone AMP and it supports the 300 Ohms easily. You do have to connect it by RCA cable. But I've heard it's a great AMP and my friends also recommend it. Maybe something you like to check out.

I will look into it. I already have the solo setup and itching to try once I get these headphones. If I am not satisfied, I will see if I can upgrade to your suggestion. Thanks for your feedback.

I would actually suggest the jds atom over the magni. The mag I has a bit more power and has a metallic chassis but the Atom has better measurements. Lower noise floor, less distortion with volume, etc. So it's basically a tradeoff. Slightly more power vs slightly better measurements. I person prefer the latter as that extra power won't really be necessary.
