I'm very excited for this headphone, in 3 weeks i will write a review about it, i'm coming from the denon ah-d2000 and denon ah-d5000, everything was perfect about the denon ah-d5000, by my mistake it broke few weeks ago and i had it since 2009, 10 years, amazing quality build, if the sennheiser hd6xx is at least 70% of what the denon ah-d5000 was for me i would be very happy.

MetroidWow, good job on enjoying a headphone for 10 years! I always wanted to hear a D5000 (I quite enjoyed the D7000 when I heard it from multi-thousand dollar amps and gear that belonged to other people), do you think Denon or Fostex would be able to fix it? The HD 650 has been around since 2001 I believe, many of the original production are still being used today. Mine is only 2 years old, but it is going strong!

EvshrugI'm thinking of purchasing this headphones https://www.massdrop.com/buy/e-mu-teak-headphones when it massdrop their 100 units or so in few weeks. I believe it's very similar to the denon ah-d5000, denon ah-d5000 uses a fostex driver and is available in a online shop however is never in stock, as I have been with it for almost 10 years, I love its audio signature. The sennheiser 6xx will be something new to me, I'm very excited, back in 2009 when I purchased the denon ah-d5000, the sennheiser hd650 was at that same price bracket but as I like bass a lot more than the mids, I chose the denon. Lets see what I have missed these past 10 years and what I haven't miss.
