I am really smiling at the comments on the price rise.
The product has been flying off the shelves, so it's obviously in high demand. This is a free market, they may ask whatever they want - if there's enough demand, their hike was prudent move. If they even lose 20% of potential buyers, they're still better off financially (if they work with a 50% margin)
They might even have limited supply anymore (someone mentioned Senn having stopped the production of the HD650 driver), so they may calculate that the rest they still have will be sold at the new price anyway.
PS - if they change the price on confirmed orders, that's a different kettle of fish.
Read the post from emery.t above to understand why people are frustrated. The reaction is justified and reasonable, in my opinion.
