For guys coming to the Discussion for the first time and seeing random craziness, I'm here to reiterate: These are the best headphones for the money in the world, and the first and last pair of audiophile headphones that you'll ever need. Just make sure that you're prepared to invest in a proper audio setup, meaning that you buy a decent DAC & AMP to drive these properly (and decent sources like TIDAL / FLAC / 48 kHz optical etc). The great thing is that they scale up very well with better audio equipment, and match with high powered amps.

I've had them for 6 months, and it's been an awesome experience. They are honestly headphones that I'm happy to own for the rest of my life. And that's after having already listened to the World Series of headphones: Sennheiser HD 820, HD 800s, Hifiman HE 1000, Grado Pro Series 2000e, Stax SR-009S. They're seriously that good, and incomparable for the price / value ratio.

LuckyLuke575In before people start saying how you can drive them from your motherboard (DON'T!).

snowsurferFor sure. As you can see I have a DX3 Pro, but I actually drive them with my Sony Integrated Stereo Amplifier. Big power, treble and bass controls, and of course I can run all my sources to the cans via the DX3 and my turntable.

UzuzuI'm not much of a basshead, but I found that adding some bass using my integrated amp's tone control made them sound great on the low end. But yeah, on a straight wire the bass isn't that prominent, but still very musical.

LuckyLuke575the bass is pretty prominent IMO, there just is none under 30 hz. It can't be tuned or adjusted, the driver just doesn't go farther. Personally the 650 is just too warm sounding for me, also not enough treble which is the real downer.

UzuzuYeah there is the matter of taste which plays a role. I really like how comfortable they are to wear and listen to.
