View Full Discussion We are currently sold-out of the Sennheiser HD6XX. While we typically carry this product in stock, a combination of increased demand during COVID, as well as supply constraints from Sennheiser's production line, have made it difficult to keep this popular product in stock. We are now accepting pre-orders for the next shipment of headphones, scheduled to be shipping in the middle of September. Placing a pre-order reserves your spot in the shipment, and you can cancel any time prior to us shipping the headphones if you no longer want them.
There is a chance we will receive units sooner than September, but at this point it's too hard to tell. If you'd like to read the past updates about the HD6XX, you can find it on this thread.
August 19th Update: Sennheiser notified us that they are sending us a partial batch (around ~800 units) sometime in 5-10 days. These will be shipped out to customers who previously pre-ordered. There are currently around 500 pre-orders pending so ordering in the next few days will likely get you a spot on this shipment. Next shipment currently estimated to arrive mid/late September.
Sept 2nd Update: Still got a few hundred orders that we need to ship headphones to, should be going out in the next day or two. Our September incoming shipment date been updated to arrive on Sept 10th, so we'll likely start shipping those to customers on Sept 14th. Pre-ordering today (and for the next little while) gets you a unit from that shipment. After that, you'll be waiting until mid-October for the next shipment.
Sept 5th Update: About 20 units left to ship, everything else is done and tracking numbers provided. Still on track for the next shipment to come this week and shipments to go out the following one. We've already sold about 500 out of the 1500 units coming on Sept 10th, so its safe to say you have some time, but not a lot of time, to order if you want to be included in the September shipment.
Sept 9th Update: Truck from Sennheiser just rolled up to the warehouse. They gotta unload, unpack, and count everything which will take a a day or so. After that, any remaining units will ship. Best guess is it'll be done by the weekend; worst case by Sept 15th. New orders will ship as soon as the pre-orders are done!
Sep 14th Update: We're just on the tail-end of getting caught up with all the shipments that are going out! We're back to being "in-stock" so if you order today, we'll be shipping your unit in the next ~5 business days. Thanks everyone for your patience and support!
Sept 16th Update: Pretty close to being sold out .... again.... we're shipping them every day but the shelves are nearly empty. Once sold out, we'll put this on "pre-sale" mode again, with expected shipping end of September (or early October).
Sept 18th Update: We’re sold out again! Preorder now to guarantee a spot on the next shipment. You can cancel anytime before it ships if you change your mind.
Sept 24th Update: Currently on track for the Oct 1st shipment date, plus or minus a day or two on either side.

If i ordered on the 28th will I get mine shipped today or tomorrow or will it be later this month. Im asking because I need to order an amp and mic and wanna do that before it comes but I want them to arrive around the same time so I have the same time frame to return
28th should be covered by our existing inventory. Eyeballing it, roughly August 31st would be the cut-off for people getting allocated units on the next shipment that is mid-sept.
So if it didn't ship today it should ship tomorrow? Best news I've heard. Can't wait to get these bad boys

We shut down our EU warehouse, so you'll have to buy from the US one. You will likely have to pay VAT when it arrives (if you bought from the EU warehouse the VAT is built into the price, so it ultimately costs the same).
They're going out, but a bit slowly becuase the warehouse is backlogged with lots of other orders. My guess is over the weekend or early next week. We have an extra shift coming in on labor day Monday just to help clear some of the order backlog.

What are the delivery times usually? I'm in Northeast. Also, thanks for getting these out! I am pleasantly surprised!
Northeast, should be 2-4 business days assuming you use the free "fedex smartpost" option. I'd suggest paying the extra $5 bucks and getting the upgraded shipping, then it's guaranteed to be 2 days.
I'm one of the people who ordered on the 14th of this month. Are you guys fulfilling orders by whatever the website says (mine is supposed to ship on the 16th) or are we going by the around 5 days? Thank you for any answers.

Honestly I don't precisely know, but it should ship very soon (5 biz day being the upper end if lots of things get held up for some reason).
Don't think you can change your shipping option unfortunately... One option would be to cancel your order and then re-order, but the drawback of that is you lose your order priority.
Better off just waiting and you'll get it pretty darn soon!
Sorry to nag you with the refund request but I'd really like someone to send me a return shipping label for the O2 amp that I purchased with this HD 6XX please. I'm just scared to miss out the refund window. Could you help me out or is there someone who can?
apparently it shipped on the 9th but my last update on FedEx says it was in transit on the 12th. I havent seen an update since then and also it says no delivery date set. How long will it take to get here and why doesn't it tell me an estimated shipping date and no update in 4 days?
That's more of a fedex question than a Drop question, but I would say it isn't unusual for fedex tracking to not give super detailed updates. The last package I had shipped from the east to west coast took 9 bus days unfortunately :(
How long does it usually take to ship to Europe?
Wow! That's much quicker than it is to ship to Anchorage, Alaska. Mine was shipped on the 8th of September. Headed West from PA before getting sent back East to NJ. It's just been sitting there for days and my updated shipping date is SEP 30!! I get that there's a global pandemic and wildfires going on in the West Coast but 3weeks+ is a little ridiculous. Seriously doubt I will order from Drop again if it takes this long to ship.
kevin my 6xx came today but you guys didnt include a 1/4 adapter. i thought that came with these?
Kevin, my 6xx's shipped on 9/16. It's now the 22nd (which FedEx said was shipment due date). Not here today either. Frustrating in that it's taken 7 days now to go the 280 miles from PA to Northborough, MA. Yup, that's about 40 miles per day. In 2020. I've received 2 updates.
UPS and FedEx both use the USPO as their "Sure Post" service. Which....sucks. Our home gets delivered mail around 3PM. We live 8 houses up the street from the PO. Therefore, we get mail last. So whenever I get these "SurePost" deliveries? UPS will drive right by my house around 3:45. They are taking my package to the PO (remember, 8 houses down) where it'll sit overnight. The next day mail will set out with delivery. I'll get my package some 24 hours after it sits in a place I can practically see. Unbelievable. The PO workers HATE delivering the packages. Also, UPS and FedEx count the drop off at the PO as "delivered". If indeed my headphones are just 8 houses down the road? I won't know anything until 3PM. See, the PO rarely posts any. But according to FedEx, they've delivered the package on their own due date. Even though I am at the mercy of the PO now.
It's a terrible idea to basically drop the packages off at the PO. I have to add one, sometimes two additional days onto my shipments because now my packages are in the PO's possession and care.
FedEx and UPS have really taken a few big steps backwards. It's maddening to know that my headphones are locked up down the street for another 24 hours. The Pony Express could deliver from PA to ME faster. That's a fact.
(I know it's not Drop's fault here regarding what FedEx does but, surely in this day, some other service can eclipse an average of 40 miles per day)
I feel you on that. I think the geniuses at my post office lost my headphones after it was delivered by fedex cause the delivery date keeps getting delayed. Drop really needs to stop using Surepost and just totally remove the option. This place already has a bad rep of stuff coming super late. I don’t care if we have to pay extra for shipping as long as we don’t have to put up with this. The USPS this entire year has been trash.
So I get a notification from FedEx that my package has now been transferred back to FedEx for delivery. This was yesterday. It's out on the truck. So guess who ends up delivering first? The USPO!!! I got my mail at 2:45 and the headphones came an hour later! Can't make this up. Enjoying the Senn's.
